The work involved collecting resources from different websites, handling missing or inconsistent metadata, and building admin tools to review and manage submissions.
Action
Intelligent metadata scraper
I built a scraper that tries Open Graph data first, then Twitter card metadata, page images, and finally the favicon. It also uses caching, rate-limit handling, and retries.
AI batch categorization with Groq & Llama
I integrated Groq with Llama 3.1 8B to categorize batches of submitted resources and suggest tags, including a confidence score for each classification.
Next.js site and admin tools
The site uses Next.js ISR with five-minute revalidation and dynamic metadata. I also built admin tools for bulk approval, link checks, and categorization.
Result
Building The SupaDevs gave me experience with Next.js caching, scraping metadata from third-party sites, and using an LLM to help organize content.
